What are the different grades for Ofsted registered childminders, and what do they mean.

The grades for registration seem very simple in one way but very complex in another. The simple terminology is, you are either Inadequate, Satisfactory, Good or Outstanding. I feel its very important for parents to understand that a childminder who gets graded a ‘Good’ is exceptionally good at her job, if someone has an ‘Outstanding’ they are not only exceptional with the children as is the ‘Good’ childminder, but they are additionally good at the extra paperwork which goes with it, which can make the ’Outstanding’ grade.
